Negative Balance Protection
1. What's negative balance protection?
If your account balance falls below zero due to unexpected market volatility or sharp price movements, we will reset the negative balance to zero as per following rules.
2. What will happen when I have negative balance?
Before applying this protection, any funds currently available in your account will first be used to offset the negative balance, including:
- Pending withdrawal requests
- Savings account balance
- Other trading account balance (if eligible)
After these funds have been applied, we will cover any remaining negative balance up to USD 1,000.
Example:
If your account has a negative balance of USD -1,200 and meanwhile you have USD 300 in pending withdrawals and USD 500 in savings account:
1. We will firstly cancel the USD 300 pending withdrawals to offset the negative balance, now the remaining negative balance becomes USD -900.
2. We will deduct USD 500 from savings account, now the remaining negative balance will then be USD -400.
3. The company will cover the remaining USD 400, your account balance is finally reset to zero.
3. Important
a. This protection applies only to genuine negative balance situations caused by market movements (volatile or sharp price movements). It does not apply to normal trading losses, abusive trading, or policy violations.
b. The maximum amount covered by the company is USD 1,000.
c. Eligibility for Negative Balance Protection will be determined in accordance with this policy.
