When you open a trading position on BtcDana, a handling fee is charged immediately. This fee is only applied at the time of opening a trade, no fee is taken when closing a position. It's important to factor in this cost before confirming any trade.
⚠️ Why the Fee Matters
In order to successfully place a trade, your Free Margin must be greater than or equal to the total of:
1. The required margin based on your lot size
2. + the handling fee for that lot
If your balance is insufficient, the system will show an "insufficient balance" error, and the trade will not go through.
Example Calculation
Suppose you want to open a position with 0.01 lot, and the handling fee is $15 per 1 lot. Here's how the fee is calculated:
$15 (per lot) × 0.01 lot = $0.15 handling fee
So your Free Margin must cover both the required margin and the $0.15 fee.
Always double-check the margin and cost before placing an order to ensure smooth execution and avoid errors.
✅ Tip: You can view the fee and swap rate for each product by opening the product page, tapping on “Rules” above the chart, and scrolling down to check all trading conditions.
